Agent turnover has always been a major challenge for contact center operators. Everyone talks about providing high quality customer service, but it’s difficult to sustain quality levels when agent turnover is high.
At Vertex we have realized through extensive research that requiring employees to come into a site every day limits the appeal of such roles. We will always continue to have the traditional office-based contact center representatives, but we are now looking to expand our offering by employing people who do the same roles but from the comfort of their own homes.
This will open up the door to people who have travel issues, need to work around the family or simply want a higher degree of flexibility. Today’s technology allows us to operate the two models seamlessly, meaning we deliver a high end quality service to our clients and meet the work life balance needs of our workforce.
