Vertex employees' commitment to health and safety performance has been further demonstrated by securing gold, silver and bronze awards from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).
The annual awards for employers who demonstrate commitment to improving the health and performance of their workforce are presented by RoSPA. Vertex - one of the UKís leading contact centre operators- has been recognised with nine prestigious awards.
The achievements this year have included a Gold Award for the Vertex sites at Pegasus House, Phoenix House, Gemini and Forres, a Silver Award for Dingwall and Bronze Awards for Gorgie Road, Chester and Jessop House in Cheltenham. Following successful entries in previous years, Vertex has been given the gold standard for the business as a whole.
David Rawlins RoSPA Awards Manager said, "Vertex has demonstrated how seriously it takes health and safety management and is a fine example to many other companies. We would like to see more organisations following its lead."
Dave Thomas, Vertex Health & Safety Manager, commented, 'This is a great accolade for everyone in Vertex, particularly for the local facilities and health and safety teams who, through their hard work have been able to demonstrate to RoSPA that the company and its operational sites have maintained consistently excellent or continuously improving health and safety performance."
The ROSPA awards will be presented at a special ceremony at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel, National Exhibition Centre, on Thursday 24 May 2007.
