Vertex was winner in the overall Supplier of the Year Category at the inaugural Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) Supplier Excellence Awards.
The award, presented by Sir Leigh Lewis, Permanent Secretary to DWP capped a successful afternoon for Vertex which also saw it receive the Collaboration Award in recognition of its Contact Centre contract for Jobcentre Plus.
The DWP is understood to have received over 120 entries for the awards which were presented at the DWP’s 4th Annual Supplier’s Conference.
Commenting on the accolade, Andrew Warren, managing director, Public Sector, Vertex said: “We are thrilled that the DWP has chosen to recognise our contribution through these awards. I am especially pleased that our ‘same side of the table’ approach to project delivery has been highlighted by the Department in the Collaboration category. Commenting on the award, a spokesperson for DWP said: “Vertex was a worthy winner of the DWP Supplier of the Year Award for 2010. The company submitted two excellent entries both of which received outstanding endorsements from their customers.”
