Vertex Public Sector donates time and money to support Age UK

Vertex, leading global customer management outsourcing business will be fundraising and rolling up their sleeves to volunteer their time to support Age UK as part of the company’s nominated charity initiative. More than 2,000 staff from the business services firm will be raising funds and volunteering their time in one of Age UK’s 450+ charity shops set up to help improve later life.

Reflecting the bright Age UK identity, the Vertex team kicked off the partnership by decorating their offices and dressing head to toe in a rainbow of colours to raise money and celebrate the start of the partnership. Vertex Public Sector work with local authorities across the UK to support people in later life, through projects such as our Community Solutions team at Thurrock Council who help older people access the services they need. In Central Government we have been keeping a careful eye on developments surrounding the Dilnot Commission and we recently sponsored fringe events at the Party Conferences to explore the future of social care systems. Our relationship with Age UK is an extension of this commitment to supporting older people.

We were delighted that our fundraising launch day raised over £2,200 and intend to host a series of events in the months to come to significantly build upon this start”.

Vertex Public Sector staff will continue their efforts be donating their time throughout 2011/2012 to help support Age UK.
